I think like most kids in the back seat of a car we look up a buildings. We look up to see the top and we wonder what's inside. If most kids didn't do this, I certainly did. I dreamed of walking thru the hallways and climbing the steps all the way to the top. I always wondered what went on inside and who worked there. When I started to explore Detroit it was only natural I would look to venture inside. I can't even remember how many holes I climbed into. How many steps I climbed and roofs I summited. As exciting as all of that was I soon realized what I cared about most was taking these photos. I followed a pretty strict code. I didn't leave any traces or wreck anything.
I wanted to show what I saw. I hope that you find my pictures beautiful. It was always sad to walk thru these buildings. To know the industry and jobs that used to be here. Sadly, most of these places are gone now. Replaced by parking structures and casinos.
